For IT managers, studio directors, and team leads, managing generative AI usage across an organization is critical to preventing mid-month workflow interruptions. On Creative Cloud for Teams and Enterprise plans, generative credits are pooled across users or managed through designated group quotas. The Adobe Admin Console provides real-time visibility into your organization’s credit burn rate, enabling administrators to generate audit reports, track usage down to the individual user, and adjust permissions before teams hit their limits.
Fast Fix
Sign in to adminconsole.adobe.com using your system administrator credentials. Navigate to Storage & Services > Generative Credits (or Insights > Reports). Review the master Organization Consumption Meter, then click Export Usage Report. The generated CSV file provides a breakdown of credit consumption by user email, product profile, date range, and application.

How the Admin Console Tracks Generative Credits
Individual accounts display a personal credit counter in their desktop apps, but organizations handle credits through an enterprise entitlement ledger.

The Admin Console reports three key metrics:
- Total Organizational Quota: The total baseline credits provisioned across your enterprise agreement (ETLA) or team subscription.
- Current Cycle Consumption: The number of credits burned during the active billing period, updated in near-real-time.
- User-Level Attributions: Detailed logs identifying which users, teams, or external contractors are consuming credits through tools like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or Firefly.

Step 2: Export the User Audit CSV Log
To see which projects or team members are driving credit usage:
- In the Admin Console, go to Insights > Reports.
- Click Create Report.
- Select Generative AI Usage Report.
- Select your desired date range (e.g., Last 30 Days or Custom Date Range).
- Click Download CSV.
- Open the CSV in Excel or your data management tool. Filter the spreadsheet by:
User Email: Identifies high-volume users.Application: Shows whether credits were spent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Firefly Web, or Premiere Pro.Feature: Identifies whether usage came from standard Generative Fill, vector generations, or video extensions.
Step 3: Configure User Profile Restrictions
If your audit reveals that non-essential teams are burning credits on experimental tasks, adjust your Product Profile permissions:
- In the Admin Console, click Products.
- Select your Creative Cloud plan and choose the specific Product Profile you want to adjust (e.g., Interns or Marketing Contractors).
- Go to the Permissions tab.
- Locate Firefly / Generative AI Services.
- Toggle access to Disabled or restrict usage to non-generative tools.
- Click Save. These users will retain access to core editing features, but generative AI commands will be disabled, protecting your pooled balance.
Hard Stops
- Do not wait until the pool hits 0 credits to order true-up packs. In enterprise environments, credit add-on amendments require contract processing through your Adobe account team or enterprise reseller. If your dashboard shows 90% consumption with more than a week remaining in the billing period, begin procurement immediately to prevent team-wide service interruptions.
